Determine module type
Using the AutoLaunch utility’s executable binary, compiled to support x86 devices, I created an installation package, which install the AutoLaunch utility to the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Platform Builder, as one of the catalog component. This problem occurs because the DHCPv6 Information Request packet that the Windows Embedded CE 6.0-based device sends does not contain a Client Identifier and a Vendor Class Identifier. Wince 6.0 Operating System
I am working on an x86 based system running wince 6.0. It is a headless
system.
The problem I am having is that the debug image loads fine, whereas the
release image fails to boot successfully.
When I boot a release image with kitl enabled, it boots fine.
When I boot a release image with kitl disabled, it fails (though I can still
ping my device).
The last thing I see on serial com port before it *apparently* halts is this:
Exception 'Access Violation' (14): Thread-Id=04190002(pth=8976edc8),
Proc-Id=00400002(pprc=813f3800) 'NK.EXE', VM-active=01960002(pprc=9ee2a858)
'udevice.exe'
PC=c0190792(gwes.dll+0x00040792) RA=c0190ab7(gwes.dll+0x00040ab7)
SP=d202fb9c, BVA=00000104
I also tried booting with debugger enabled (and kept kitl disabled) but did
not get a lot of useful debug output to point me into right direction where
things begin to fall over.
I would appreciate if anyone would like to share any thoughts/pointers on
what to look into.
Thanks,
Shani
